Lauren Weinand

About Me

Dr. Weinand earned her B.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Arizona and her M.D. from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. While in medical school, she participated as a scholar in the Hazelden Betty Ford Summer Institute for Medical Students program to explore her interest in addiction medicine.

Dr. Weinand began her postgraduate medical training in family medicine before deciding to switch gears to help advance health literacy and health advocacy as a medical writer, medical reviewer, and medical editor. Her addiction medicine content has been featured by Advanced Recovery Systems and Oglethorpe Inc.
