  • Ativan (Lorazepam) Street Value & Prices

    Ativan Street Value & Prices

Ativan is the brand name for lorazepam, a medication that can treat insomnia, seizures, and anxiety disorders such as panic disorder. It belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines (or “benzos”).

Other benzodiazepines include Xanax (alprazolam), Valium (diazepam), Klonopin (clonazepam), and Halcion (triazolam).

Like other benzodiazepines, Ativan causes sedation by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter (brain chemical) called gamma amino butyric acid, or GABA. Common side effects include drowsiness, headache, and appetite changes.

Some people abuse Ativan to feel euphoric or “high.” When someone who abuses Ativan can’t get prescriptions from a clinician, they may try to buy the drug on the street.

    Ativan Street Prices

Ativan and generic lorazepam come in 0.5mg, 1mg, and 2mg tablets. On the street, a 0.5mg or 1mg tablet typically costs about $1, while a 2mg tablet costs about $4.

The price can vary depending on where you live. If you live in an area where lots of people sell Ativan, the price may be lower. That’s because higher supply usually leads to lower prices. On the contrary, if you live in an area where very few people sell Ativan, the price may be higher.

How Do Ativan Street Prices Compare To Prescription Prices?

In most cases, prescription Ativan costs much less than Ativan on the street. Depending on your location and insurance, prescription Ativan can cost as little as:

    • $5 for 30 0.5mg tablets
    • $8 for 30 1mg or 2mg tablets
    • $10 for 60 0.5mg or 1mg tablets
    • $15 for 60 2mg tablets or 90 0.5mg tablets
    • $18 for 90 1mg tablets
    • $20 for 90 2mg tablets
