Gin is a type of liquor made with juniper berries and other botanicals, such as cassia bark, elderflower, chamomile, and lemon peel. Like other liquors, it has a high alcohol content of about 40% alcohol by volume (ABV).
The price of gin varies widely depending on the type and brand. Expensive gin (also called “top-shelf gin”) is likely older and made with rarer ingredients than cheap gin.
